Service overview

Complete two common offshore requirements through one coordinated request.

The OEUK medical and Chester Step Test remain distinct assessments with their own clinical protocols. Beeline coordinates them together when both are required, helping reduce scheduling friction while preserving the appropriate clinical review for each.

Inside the exam

A focused review of offshore readiness.

The assessment is broader than a routine physical but remains specific to current OEUK guidance, the worker's history and the role. Components may include the following.

01

History + physical

The physician reviews medical history, medications, prior findings and the worker's current health before completing the in-person examination.

02

Cardiovascular review

Blood pressure, pulse, symptoms and relevant cardiovascular history are considered in the context of remote offshore work.

03

Pre-test screening

Current health, symptoms and contraindications are reviewed before physical exertion begins.

04

Standardized setup

Step height, cadence, monitoring equipment and stopping criteria are prepared under the selected protocol.

Delivery settings

Clear about where each step can happen.

Some services can travel to the workforce. Others require clinic equipment or support only remote preparation and follow-up.

01

On-site

Select programs

Group delivery may be possible near ports or mobilization sites when the protocol and examiner availability permit.

02

In-clinic

Primary setting

Clinic appointments support complete examinations and any additional testing or referral needs.

03

Virtual

Preparation + follow-up

Records review and appropriate follow-up may occur remotely; the examination remains in person.

Common questions

What to know before scheduling.

Can both assessments happen during one appointment?

They can often be coordinated in one visit when the location, clinician availability and pre-test requirements support both assessments.

Does everyone who needs an OEUK medical also need Chester Step?

No. The Chester Step Test is required only when an employer, project or selected protocol calls for an aerobic-capacity assessment.

What should I bring?

Bring photo identification, glasses or contact lenses, current medication information, employer or project forms and suitable clothing and footwear for stepping.
